Perspectives and faith journey from Reverend Donald Frye, LGBTQ Episcopal Pastor

The Reverend Don Frye is a follower of Jesus and a pilgrim on the Way of Love. Originally from Akron, Ohio, and raised in the Church of the Nazarene, Don has served in an urban ministry to homeless men and women, and welfare moms and their children.

Don moved to Chicago in 1990 and worked for InterVarsity Press and The American Medical Association. In 2005, Don was ordained a priest in The Episcopal Church. Don has served Saint James Episcopal Church, West Dundee, IL since 2008 and a hospital chaplain since 2010. Don is married to David Shallow and they reside in Aurora, IL. Don has been deconstructing his relationship, theology and understanding of God his entire journey.
